Notorious ZOO with Mark Heyka & Whiz Bang!

Friday, March 22 // Door at 6:30 PM // Show at 7 PM // $20 Join us for a night of improv shows presented by Last Best Comedy all the way from Bozeman!  The show starts with Notorious ZOO, featuring Mark Heyka. Notorious ZOO is a long-form improv show that celebrates the city of Missoula, its history, and its incredible citizens. Mark Heyka, our meteorologist turned monologist, will share stories from his life, then the cast will use those stories as inspiration to create characters and scenes – and bring it all together in a completely hilarious and improvised show! Meteorologist (turned Monologist) Mark Heyka grew up on a Kansas farm. At age 7, Heyka saw his first tornado. His father said “grab something important and run to the cellar”. He grabbed a cat and a hula hoop! Fascinated by storms, he drew maps and pretended to be a weatherman at age 10. He eventually got a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from Washburn University in Topeka, KS. He got an associate degree in meteorology from Mississippi State University. He just celebrated his 40th year in TV broadcasting, 25 of those in Montana. Following a short intermission the second half of this comedy explosion is our signature short form show, Whiz Bang! Whiz BANG! is an explosion of intoxicating comedy! Exciting, high-energy, short-form improv that is so funny it’s criminal. A show with lots of audience interaction, and tons of laughs.  For further information, accessibility, and inquiries please visit https://www.zootownarts.org/meet-the-zacc/about/.
