Chris Gethard: A Father and The Sun

He’s the host of the Beautiful/Anonymous podcast, which was recently adapted into a 4-part series streaming on Topic, the former host of The Chris Gethard Show, and wrote and starred in the HBO special Career Suicide. He also hosts the podcast New Jersey Is The World, a celebration of his home state. In June 2021, Comedy Dynamics released Chris’ new comedy special, Chris Gethard: Half My Life, which is a hybrid tour documentary and stand-up special shot in a variety of DIY spaces and independent venues all over the country in 2019. Chris has been seen on television shows such as Space Force, The Office, Broad City, Parks and Recreation, and Inside Amy Schumer. He’s also been seen in films such as The Other Guys, The Heat, Ghostbusters, Anchorman 2, and was one of the stars of Mike Birbiglia’s Don’t Think Twice. Revival Comedy Night – Annual Sock Drive for the Poverello Center
Thursday, November 17 // Door at 7 PM // Show at 7:30 PM // $10 The leaves are falling and the air is crisper – and that means it’s time for Revival Comedy’s biggest show of the year! Each November we gather the best comics in town for a huge celebration, all centered around collecting warm socks for the Poverello Center. Our goal is to make sure that no one at the Pov is worried about their sock supplies running out until spring, and that every person who might not always have a place to go at least has warm toes through Montana’s cold winters. In addition to comedians joking for Good, this is a variety show that will include music and special guests. The price of your ticket goes directly to the Pov (after ZACC’s operational costs), and we heavily encourage people to bring in warm, new socks to donate. We need socks for both men and women, and the warmer the better. That’s right: for five years, we’ve been offering free comedy workshops to marginalized genders and helping people across the state get on stage to tell jokes. We’re celebrating by showcasing women, nonbinary, and trans comedians in Montana who make the world a funnier place — and by raising money for our all-time favorite Montana organization, the Susan Wicklund Fund. Especially now, with our abortion rights in peril, it is vital to support Montana’s abortion fund, which has helped hundreds of people pay for their abortions and the related costs of travel and lodging, and we’re ready to fight. The night will feature some of Montana’s best comedians, including Becky Margolis, Jackie Rapetti, Margi Cates, and Charley Macorn, as well as some brand new and emerging voices, including Casey Chapman, Renee LaMie, Selena Palmer, and Alexa Hansen.
