Stories We Tell Ourselves

Thursday, May 22 // Door at 7 PM // Show at 7:30 PM // $10 // $15-$20 Artist Supporter     STORIES WE TELL OURSELVES is a theatricalized presentation of true stories from the recovery community. This presentation is based on an 8-week Storytelling Workshop offered by No Joke Theater to members of the Missoula recovery community. Their personal stories reflect on the challenges and intricacies of recovery, providing the audience with a unique glimpse of how addiction and recovery touch all of us.  No Joke Theater is the only theater company in Montana that creates theater with the formerly incarcerated, individuals under court-ordered supervision and members of the recovery community. (No Joke Theater is fiscally sponsored by Arts Missoula.)

Nebula Nights (18+)

The Perfect Pour

Step into the world of Riley, a teenage science whiz living on a Montana ranch near the Mission Mountains. When she picks up a copy of Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein,” Riley is inspired to craft a DIY creature of her own – all chronicled on her YouTube channel! When her creation goes haywire, Riley and her brother Aidan must minimize the chaos (and save the cows!) while all the world watches through their smartphones. MONSTER + FARMER is about creation and connection in an increasingly digital world. The play delves into themes of family dynamics, the anxiety of social media, and the importance of seeking help, all while showcasing an innovative, determined female lead excelling in science and technology.   Monster + Farmer is written for middle and high school students but great for all ages!    About the Montana Repertory Theatre (Missoula, Mont.) Donation Refund Policy

We are grateful for your donation and support of our organization. If you have made an error in making your donation or change your mind about contributing to our organization please contact us. Refunds are returned using the original method of payment. If you made your donation by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same credit card.
