Wednesday, February 4 // Doors at 7:00 // Show at 7:30 // $5-$20 Pick What You Pay
Join us on February 4 at the ZACC for a live performance by New Standard, the free music improvisation workshop for Missoula teens led by Loren Stillman, John Wicks, and Tommy Sciple.
This concert features intermediate to advanced instrumentalists and of all ages performing a variety of unique jazz standards and original student arrangements, alongside open improvisation in a collaborative ensemble setting. Expect spontaneous music-making, deep listening, and creative risk-taking as students perform with a professional rhythm section.
The evening offers a glimpse into the workshop’s process—where interaction, individual voice, and collective expression take center stage.
Come support local musicians, experience the joy of improvisation, and hear what this vibrant community is creating in real time.
New Standard is part of The Teen Rock Club, a free contemporary music program for developing musicians, supported in part by a grant from the Montana Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
