In the late summer of 1892, Andrew Borden and his second wife Abby were found dead in their home - brutally hacked to death by an axe. The main suspect? Andrew’s youngest daughter: Lizzie Borden. 

Testimonies were muddled, evidence was incomplete, and Lizzie was ultimately acquitted…but was she innocent? 

And who else was involved? Her older sister Emma? Bridget the maid? Alice the neighbor?

This all-woman musical sets one of America’s most grisly mysteries to a searing rock score and delves into the mind of Lizzie Borden; speculating on what pain, loss, or insanity might have pushed her to pick up that axe.
